Why I Wrote This Series
I didn’t write this because I lost faith.
I wrote it because I still have it—even after all the reasons not to.
This is a series for those who’ve seen too much, been burned too badly, or asked too many questions to keep pretending.
It’s not about bitterness.
It’s about truth.
And finding God again—not in the performance or the power, but in the rubble, the margins, the whisper.
In Spite of It All is my witness. My reckoning. My resurrection.
If you’ve walked away but still ache for something real—this is for you.

📖 The Series (in order):
• ☑ Prelude: I Am a Believer (In Spite of It All)
A declaration of faith reborn in the rubble—bold, unapologetic, and rooted in love that can’t be shaken.
• ☑ The Gospel Is Not for Sale
A scorching indictment of prosperity theology and a call back to the Jesus who flipped tables.
• ☑ The Gospel Is Not a Performance
Faith is not a show—it’s a revolution of presence, humility, and solidarity with the suffering.
• ☑ When God Becomes a Weapon
How Christian nationalism hijacks the Gospel—and why fidelity to Jesus demands we name it.
• ☑ On This Sunday
A quiet meditation for those who can’t bring themselves to go to church—but still long for God.
• ☑ Selective Prayer Is Not Prayer at All
If our prayers only serve the powerful, we’re not praying—we’re participating in injustice.
• ☑ The Idol of Personal Authenticity
When “being true to yourself” becomes a gospel of self-justification instead of transformation.
• ☑ Controlling Access to Spiritual Certainty
A warning against the gatekeepers of doctrine who confuse power with truth.
• ☑ Ministry of Disenchantment
Why naming disillusionment is not the end of faith, but the beginning of something deeper.
• ☑ Common Sense run Amock
How appeals to “common sense” often reinforce injustice, and why the Gospel calls us higher.
• ☑ Only Jesus
A letter to the conservative Christianity that raised me—and the Jesus it forgot.
• ☑ Jesus Didn’t Come to Start a Religion
A manifesto for those who love Jesus but can’t stomach what’s been done in his name.
• ☑ What If Jesus Came Back Today?
A modern-day parable that imagines Jesus walking into a church and shaking his head.
• ☑ This Is the Faith I Claim
A bold reclamation of a faith rooted not in fear, but in justice, mercy, and joy.
• ☑ When the Lie Becomes Law
A protest against theology used to justify political violence and spiritual manipulation.
• ☑ The Spirit That Disrupts
God’s Spirit is not safe, not quiet, and not loyal to empire—it disrupts everything.
• ☑ Break the Chains
Ten religious lies that keep people bound—and ten Gospel truths that set them free.
• ☑ The Gospel in the Rubble
To the wounded, the wondering, and the woke: the good news is still good, and so are you.
• ☑ I Am a Believer (Reprise)
The journey comes full circle: not back to certainty, but forward into defiant grace.
⸻
If something in you has stirred just reading these titles—keep going.
Don’t worry if your faith feels fractured.
Don’t worry if you’re angry, aching, or unsure what you still believe.
Don’t worry if the word God catches in your throat.
This isn’t about performing belief.
It’s about seeking truth.
And if you’ve made it this far, you belong here.
Start where you need to.
Read what calls to you.
Print it, mark it up, argue with it, pray through it.
But don’t walk away too quickly.
Because beneath the rubble, the Gospel is still alive.
And there is still a God who whispers:
You are not broken. You are not alone. You are not done.
So let’s begin.
